Subconscious Imprinting Technique (SIT) works with the subconscious mind and nervous system to help discover, acknowledge and clear emotional imprints that could be impacting your quality of life. It involves muscle testing (applied Kinesiology), Chinese medicine meridian theory and plenty of conversation. These sessions can help you reveal and release unexpressed emotion, memories that have been unacknowledged, that can contribute to chronic physical pain and undesirable behavior traits. It can help you see patterns, thought processes and points of view you hold from a different perspective. It does require you to truly show up for yourself.
This technique can help with:
-Anxiety, chronic worry
-Frustrating habits or behaviors you cannot seem to break
-Chronic physical pain symptoms that no one can seem to find a reason for
-Anger
-Shame
-Guilt
Contrary to what we tell ourselves, we are our own best source for the "answers" we are often seeking. We have those answers, our hearts have their desires. We often get distracted, overwhelmed and forget how to listen to what they are.
I co-create a sacred space for you to stop and breathe! To explore YOUR intuition, and use mine, to perhaps get curious about perspectives on our mindsets, our circumstances and what we were taught to believe. Your body and spirit are always trying to get your attention, so our time together can be spend on listening to them....uncovering your truth. Listening to that little voice that is on "the back burner" most times, as we are so distracted. This is great work for people who find themselves in a loop of doing the same thing over and over, and seem to feel "stuck". There's a reason for those patterns we hold, and this invites you to explore that. We often equate our busy-ness with our worthiness, in doing so, cut ourselves off from creativity, ease and calm.
This work is like "life coaching", however I prefer "Intuitive counseling", because it is more about you embracing curiosity about yourself. It is not a "program" to follow, nor are there "steps" to take to become something else. I prefer to help people find compassion for where they are now, and listen to their own "coach" within themselves.
We are made of energy, at the most fundamental level. So, I believe it is extremely important to support that system in us, as well as our physical bodies we carry around.
I practice Integrated Energy Therapy, which is gentle, hands on work. Feelings and sensations are stored in our bodies. Stress, unexpressed emotion, fear, anger, resentment or any self-limiting beliefs can be suppressed, disrupting flow of energy on a cellular level. This tends to dim our experience of life, and we often experience energy depletion, feelings of unrest, agitated and lack spontaneity. As these held responses are released by the body, your energy is more balanced.
This work is beneficial for people who work with a high degree of public contact such as Teachers, Nurses, Therapists and Social workers. They can be overstimulated by the energy of those they serve and interact with. It can help dissipate this sense of overwhelm and bring them back to energetic alignment.
Sessions are done clothed.
Jikiden Reiki is unique as it has not been influenced by Western Reiki practice. There has been great success helping people with emotional issues and chronic illness. An amazing yet simple method to improve body and mind. Jikiden Reiki is a school of "Shinshin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho". This means the "Usui treatment method for improving body and mind". This is the original name for Usui's Reiki method.
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. I work intuitively listening to you, and the unique needs that your body is communicating.
The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, calming the nervous system, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep tissue massage is the manipulation of deeper layers of in the body, commonly hips, low back, neck, shoulders and upper back. This work helps to relieve chronic holding patterns, aches, tension and pain. It also improves range of motion in joints to help you move more freely.
Everyone has a different "version" of deep tissue work for themselves. Communication is important during deeper tissue work. I work within your comfort level and tolerance at all times. The goal is for the body and tissues to relax and release, so that we can get to those deeper layers, while simultaneously having a relaxation response. I aim for the tissue to "allow" me to sink deeper. Deep tissue work does not have to be painful.
Gua Sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. It is defined as instrument-assisted unidirectional stroking of a lubricated area to stimulate circulation in the soft tissue, and relieve stagnation of energy called "Chi".
I use this modality in conjunction with massage work. It is incredibly effective in relieving chronic restricted muscle patterns.
Cupping therapy thousands of years old. Used in Chinese medicine, by ancient Greeks and Egyptians as early as 1550 B.C.E.!
Where I note areas of restriction, I use silicone cups. Using suction they create a vacuum, drawing up the skin, muscle and fascia into the cup. This negative pressure is in contrast to the pressure of deep tissue massage, and equally effective. This modality promotes blood circulation, helps reduce inflammation and relieve physical and emotional tension.
I use it in conjunction to other massage services.
Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. There is more "spreading" of tissue, and the pace of this work is slower. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.
CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, TMJ pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, continued by John Upledger, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.
This is a barefoot massage method where I use of a fabric strap fastened to a massage table to deliver therapeutic myofascial and deep tissue techniques. I use the fabric for stability and to add tensional and gravitational force to specific manual therapy methods. This method applied with the broad contact surfaces of the feet create less restriction and more release and relaxation in recipients’ bodies.
